October 26-28 2005
Helsinki/Kirkkonummi/Espoo, Finland

Invitation

Description

SeFun (www.uiah.fi/sefun) research group will organise a three days seminar in the Helsinki area. The seminar, funded by NordForsk (www.nordforsk.org), is directed to students on various phases of their doctoral studies. Also students planning to start their doctoral studies are invited.

The seminar aims to give a view on the basics of doctoral research in design, including different approaches and methods, particular emphasis being on design semantics. The main part of the seminar consists of the presentations, discussions, and small group sessions organised around the participants’ own research. Students will be provided with thematic and methodological support as well as practical comments on their research projects. Students can gain 2.5 ECTS points in the seminar.
